A Venture Fund located in San Francisco is looking to add a senior level accounting professional to join their established team.

The Company is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its growing fund finance team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible the timely, accurate, consistent and reliable preparation and maintenance of the financial records for the Company’s limited partnership investment vehicles (the “Funds”) and their respective general partner entities (the “General Partners”).

This role will supervise third party accounting resources and will report to the Controller. The Accounting Manager will also interact with the Company’s leadership including its Management Committee.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Manage the third party administrator in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual fund reports including financial statements, capital account summaries, footnotes, waterfall calculations, and fund performance
* Monitor bank activity, including reviewing administrator prepared weekly cash flow projections, investor capital activity (i.e. capital call and distribution calculations), and investment funding
* Prepare quarterly valuation of portfolio investments in accordance with ASC 820
* Manage the annual audit process and preparation of the tax returns for the Funds
* Review administrator prepared semi-annual General Partner financial reporting
* Coordinate processing of fund expenses in collaboration with the management company finance team
* Collaborate with the legal, investment, investor relations, and corporate development teams on legal documents, investor requests, marketing materials, and other ad-hoc projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

The Accounting Manager role requires a solution-oriented individual who can successfully manage competing responsibilities. In addition, they should have:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business degree; CPA and/or MBA preferred
* 5+ years of professional experience at a public accounting firm, venture fund, or both
* Experience with fund accounting, including valuations, waterfall calculations, and performance reporting
* Experience in venture capital funds or private equity funds
* Experience managing third party administrators (strongly preferred)
* Experience with Ipreo and Addepar (preferred)
* Experience with partnership taxation (preferred)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
