Position Description
Our client, a premier Canadian Private Equity firm, is seeking a highly motivated and professional Director, Tax to join its growing finance team. In this newly created role, the Director, Tax will be responsible for all tax matters related to the investment manager’s corporate group and fund related vehicles with support from or in collaboration with various internal team members and external advisors. The Director, Tax will be required to work closely with the CFO, Finance team, investment professional team and external tax and legal advisors in order to fulfill this mandate.
Responsibilities
Manager or Sr. Manager level experience in a Canadian Tax practice;
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience ideally with exposure to M and A and US Tax; and
Completed CPA designation and CPA Canada In-depth Tax program or Master of Tax.
Strong organization and project management skills including an ability to prioritize work demands, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Experience with identifying issues and problem solving;
Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Tax Prep Corporate
