The Firm

A leading Core Plus Infrastructure Private Equity fund with a global presence are now entering the European market and building a team out in London. They have a broad sector focus with value-add approach in the post-acquisition phase. The firm come with an impressive track record across a broad variety of subsectors, to name a few: Data infrastructure/connectivity, transportation, senior care homes/private medical facilities and renewable energy. They have a flexible mandate and ticket sizes vary in size depending on the opportunity, ranging from $100m to over $1bn. AUM currently exceeding the $10bn mark.

The Role

The Investment Associate will:

Perform all deal related financial analysis including modelling, valuation and analysis of key risks
Support senior team members in origination efforts across multipl value-add and core plus infrastructure/energy subsectors
Manage distinct elements of the due diligence process unassisted, including appointment and management of advisors, Q&A with the vendor and responding to queries from investors or the IC
Help build and maintain relationships with third-party service providers
Contribute to the writing and presentation of investment papers to the Investment Committee
Following successful acquisitions, be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of portfolio businesses, and be involved in value-add asset management tasks
Help in the review, negotiation and execution of operational contracts, legal documents and where appropriate, asset level financing alongside management teams
Act as an intermediary between the management of portfolio Companies, Operating Partners and the senior team

The Candidate

In order to be considered you must ensure that you satisfy all of the following criteria:

2-5 years of experience within a leading infrastructure and energy financial advisory, management consultancy or equity investment team.
Strong financial modelling capability
Experience across infrastructure/utilities/renewables/transport/telecoms transactions
Possess strong technical skills, especially when evaluating assets
Have the ability to think with an investor’s mindset and an entrepreneurial personality
Have a deep commercial understanding of infrastructure and the operational aspects, combined with an understanding of what makes a good core infrastructure investment in what is viewed as a saturated market.
Additional European languages will be a preference
