Growing $2 Billion Midtown NYC Private Equity Firm Seeks a Tax Manager (First In-House Hire)

* Ability to Build Out In-House Tax Function

* Reporting to Corporate Controller and CFO

* Oversee key Tax initiatives across the organization

* Reviewing tax returns, analyzing financial statements and ensuring information is accurate on all documents.

* Assist and oversee planning and structuring

* Oversee all tax compliance administration and provide expert guidance on a broad range of tax compliance matters

* Manage the third party tax service providers

* Review partner tax allocations, tax adjustments, Schedules K-1, and Forms 1065

* Prepare and review tax estimates

* Ensure accurate completion of Schedules K-1 and tax filings

* Budgeting and Forecasting

* Financial Reporting

Special Projects

Selling Point Behind this Role is that it is NOT JUST Tax. Lots of Special Projects for CFO- FP&A and Corporate Accounting and the Ability to Buid Out the In-House Tax Function.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

* CPA a Must

* 7- 12 years of tax experience with strong hedge fund/alternative investment industry

* Ability to manage relationship with third party tax preparer and review returns with Controller/CFO/CEO

* Comprehensive and broad based experience in federal and state tax law; substantive understanding of partnership tax compliance

* Ability and Interest to expand job responsibilities in functions outside of tax expertise

* Team Player

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
