Our private equity client is looking for an Analyst to provide analytical and administrative support to the firm’s investment and portfolio management teams. Candidates will be offered an excellent hands-on working environment with experienced investment professionals in evaluating a variety of businesses, industries and private equity investments.
Candidates for this position would be responsible for supporting the following activities:
New Investment Opportunities:
* Process and review incoming investment memos and business plans
* Conduct primary and secondary research (prospecting, industry trends, competition, comparables)
* Perform financial modeling, deal structuring, and valuation assessments
* Perform business due diligence including references, customer/vendor calls, etc.
* Write and present deal introduction and investment committee memos
Portfolio Company Oversight and Project Management Support:
* Provide financial and capital structure monitoring and reporting
* Research market trends and competitive environments as part of exit opportunity analysis
* Participate in the decision making process for realizations of investments
* Support fund-level analysis and reporting
Business Development:
* Support the development and cultivation of key business partner relationships
* Manage and maintain internal CRM system
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
* Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a rigorous discipline with a strong academic performance
* Ability to develop financial models with associated strong proficiency in Excel
* Strong personal organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in investment management, investment banking or consulting
* Connection to Hartford area
