CSG Investments, investment consultant to Beal Bank, pursues a value-oriented, opportunistic debt investment strategy across multiple industry sectors and debt structures. Investments are typically intended to be held to maturity, and include purchases of syndicated loans, whole loans, debt securities, mortgage- backed/structured products and selected direct originations.
Beal Bank seeks bright, hard-working analyst candidates with a genuine enthusiasm for investing and finance. Analysts will be integral members of deal teams, and will work closely with the senior-most professionals of the firm to execute transactions. Candidates should be problem solvers who are not easily discouraged and strive to find solutions even in tough scenarios. Individuals will be given as much responsibility as their experience and growing capabilities permit.
The position is anticipated to be a two-year opportunity for candidates with 0 to 3 years of prior work experience. Top performers may have the opportunity to continue with Beal Bank beyond the analyst program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Assist investment teams in the evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of the firm’s transactions
* Build financial models and valuation analyses
* Prepare and present investment presentations
* Perform fundamental credit analysis and conduct due diligence for potential transactions
* Analyze capital structure and credit documentation
* Asses financial, operating and bankruptcy/restructuring prospects
* Research companies, industries, and debt markets
* Actively participate in risk identification and risk management
Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):
* Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
* Ability to effectively articulate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
* Extreme attention to detail
* Comfort with a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing demands
* Exceptional work ethic and desire to meet the demands of a deal-focused role
* Demonstrated commitment to excellence in all endeavors
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
* Investment banking, private equity, credit/analyst or similar experience is a plus, but not required
