Our client is an early-stage venture capital firm that backs entrepreneurs applying deep tech to transform giant industries. Our client has a unique model that unites a team of experienced venture capitalists with technology executives and industry experts.
As the Venture Capital Controller, you will review and summarize complex investment transactions, including mergers; review capital account allocations by partner; prepare distribution calculations; work with CFO to determine fair value of investments in compliance with ASC 820 valuations; manage the audit and tax return preparation process, including foreign tax filings; review Fund tax returns, etc. Basically you get to wear many hats and expand your knowledge and skill sets.
Requirements :
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years combined Public Accounting VC experience REQUIRED. We are looking for someone who is professional, polished, highly motivated, a self-starter and problem solver with meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility. You will have the chance to grow into the VP of finance along with building out the team.
