My client, a leading hedge fund in London, is looking for an experienced Trader to join their European trading team. The candidate will possess 5 – 10 years of trading experience within cash equities, and futures. Additionally, must come from within a hedge fund and/or an investment bank and have experience with trading technology platforms improvement.
Key experience and skills required are:
- Strong trading experience working from within a bank, or a hedge fund.
- 5 – 10 years of trading experience within the European cash equities and proprietary space.
- Strong understanding of trading technology in order to develop and enhance trading strategies.
- Strong knowledge of European market structure evolution and developments within the futures space.
- Ability to identify new potential pockets of liquidity for trading to develop profitable trading strategies.
- Assist in managing risk and perform detailed PnL reconciliation.
- Able to perform light programming work using multi-dimensional arrays, nested loops, complex conditionals and simple file I/O.
- Establishes and build relationships across to facilitate achievement of goals and support the momentum of this industry leading technology platform.
- Fluent in Excel with experience in VBA and C++.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, physics, engineering, computer science or a quantitative field.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and written and verbal communication skills.
