A well-established, massively successful asset management firm is looking for a Java Technical Lead to join its award-winning Java software development team. This team focuses on creating new systems that fulfill the firm’s needs and requirements.
As a Java Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing and delivering solutions relevant to complex business problems. At the same time, you will remain hands-on, working mostly with Java-based technologies, and you will provide guidance for a small team of Java developers. In addition, you will partner with Project Managers and System Analysts to implement business requirements.

Technical Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with Java and Java-based technologies.
- A minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience using Java.
- Previous experience doing full-lifecycle software development.
- Previous experience providing technical guidance to a small team of developers.
- Previous experience of object-oriented software design.
- Ability to write Oracle stored procedures.
Basic Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Excellent communications and leadership skills.
- Ability to gather business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Previous experience working for a financial firm is preferred, yet not required.
