A reputable hedge fund located in New York City is looking to hire a Tax Senior Associate. They are looking for someone with extensive hedge fund tax compliance experience.

A reputable hedge fund located in New York City with over $12bn AUM.

Description

The key responsibilities will be:

Tax compliance
Structuring and planning, and interface with other groups within the firm (e.g. Investor Relations, Operations, Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Legal, etc.).
The role requires the ability to interact with multiple administrators and external tax firms.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

3-5 years public accounting tax experience focusing on hedge fund and private equity clients.
Strong academic record, including a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel.
Fluency with new accounting and tax pronouncements.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to apply analytical and creative problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
