My client is a highly successful global hedge fund seeking a Senior FX Operations Specialist to join their team. They are looking for a driven and experienced individual who has an entrepreneurial approach who thrives on improving and enhancing processes.
This is a high profile role sitting on the FX trading desk, where you will have lots of autonomy and the opportunity to impact what is already a dynamic organisation. This is role which allows excellent exposure and visibility to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities;
- Have understanding of the front to back operations process for FX to include the key elements of confirmations and settlements.
- Working closely with the trading floor to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of trader queries.
- Developing new systems and process solutions where gaps are identified.
- Drive project improvements/enhancements where possible.
- Mitigating risk by ensuring daily trade / cash / position / market value reconciliations are completed in a timely manner for FX.
- Interacting with the trading groups, Prime Brokers (PBs), Executing Brokers (EBs) and our 3rd party vendor.
Key skills required:
- Experience with managing new projects and improving processes.
- 5-9 years relevant experience in FX operations / support / Prime Services / CSR Experience of monitoring post-trade and identifying potential operational risk.
- Knowledge and experience with FX and of the full trade lifecycle including working with middle office and traders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially with senior stakeholders.
- Product knowledge across several financial instruments including FI cash or CFD’s would also be beneficial.
- Murex / Imagine / TLM / Traiana experience desired.
