A leading financial services firm is looking for a Senior Java/J2EE Software Engineer to join their team. The Senior Java/J2EE Software Engineer will be in charge of building & enhancing trading applications and implementing them into the business.
Currently, this team is focusing on the development of new applications for their world-class FX Trading Application platform. Therefore, this role is an excellent opportunity to learn from the greatest developers in the industry and to actively work on the industry’s leading FX Trading Platform, used by 19 of the 20 top hedge funds in the world.
The ideal candidate must also feel very comfortable using both Java and Oracle technologies. In addition, he/she must be willing to learn new technologies and work as an individual contributor within a senior level, start-up style team of Java developers. Over all, the Senior Java/J2EE Software Engineer will be responsible for full development life-cycle tasks and work closely with business sponsors.
This a full-time opportunity and previous financial experience is preferred, yet not required for this role.
General Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE Software development experience.
- Previous work experience using Oracle technologies.
- Multi-threading skills.
- Ability to work with multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience using database technologies, such as SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience using web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, SpringMVC, and AJAX.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies as well as to learn more about the industry.
