Job Description
We are looking for a senior software engineer to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will share the responsibility of developing and maintaining software applications for research, trading and operations. The position offers great career growth opportunity in a fast growing hedge fund.
Ideal candidates should have bachelors’ or advanced degrees in computer science from top tier programs, and zero to eight years’ working experience using C++ and some Java. The ability to write production quality code is an essential requirement. Knowledge in Linux, database and scripting are also required. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong work ethic, good attention to detail, team work ability, and good communication skills.
Must have skills:
- Looking for mid to senior level C++ software engineer with BS degree in computer science or related fields.
- Experience working with Trading Systems.
- Experience writing code decoding equity market data feed, preferably familiar with US equity market data.
- Able/Willing to also program in Java.
Nice to haves in the order of highest to lowest:
- Java FX knowledge for building user interface(UI) or any other UI experience.
- Experience building equity trading algos.
- Order management system experience.
- Java GWT knowledge for building webpage.
- Understand FIX protocol/Binary order entry protocol.
- Python
- Familiar with MySQL and able to write simple developer level SQL queries.
- Experience with production release management system (such as bamboo or teamcity).
- Experience with some third party messaging software.
- Big data Hadoop experience.
