We are currently looking to hire a Financial Reporting and Valuation Specialist to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will work closely with other team members, third-party administrators, and outside auditors to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of audited and unaudited financial statements for the Bracebridge funds, including both domestic and offshore master-feeder fund structures.

Primary Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare annual, quarterly and interim financial statements and footnotes in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principals.
  • Prepare and/or review in-house and third-party administrator monthly/quarterly accounting reconciliations and perform analysis to verify the accuracy of the accounting records.
  • Prepare annual audit deliverables and review required formal communications.
  • Incorporate consolidation accounting into certain reporting deliverables.
  • Research new accounting guidance and incorporate qualitative and quantitative disclosures into financial stmts.
  • Assist in preparation/review of various other sets of financial statements, including management company entities, Luxembourg SarLs, and defined contribution benefit plan(s).
  • Prepare regulatory reporting for SEC, CFTC/NFA and CIMA.
  • Assist in the monthly valuation processing (including ASC 820), such as.
  • organize pricing data and other inputs to in-house valuation systems.
  • coordinate pricing correspondence with third-party administrator and external counterparties, reconcile pricing deliverables from third-party administrator to in-house results, and assist with vendor price challenges.
  • review and analyze customized reports from valuation data tables, to be used by the Valuation Committee.
  • Prepare and review reports for investors and respond to investor audit inquiries.
  • Assess and evaluate reporting processes and systems to ensure they are efficient and effective. Work with internal technical resources to enhance existing processes and develop new systems as required.
  • Additional responsibilities may include researching and implementing operational improvements, ad-hoc analysis and special project work.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of related experience within financial services; hedge funds or private equity experience a plus.
  • CPA or working towards CPA certification.
  • Knowledge of fixed income securities (including bond amortization), derivatives and complex financial instruments.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Total Return and/or Geneva accounting systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work with a diverse group of internal and external resources, in a challenging, fast-paced setting.
