Senior Windows Systems Engineer (2nd line Support Windows LAN WAN Networking). Would you like to work on complex, technically challenging systems, take ownership and play a lead role at a technology driven Hedge Fund that invests in sports betting markets?

You’ll be based in fantastic offices in a vibrant area of North London with in-house gym and steam room, games room with pool tables and dart boards, library and free high quality catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from the onsite chef.

As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer you’ll head up a team of six, provide one-to-ones, manage the support rota, set and review annual goals and oversee personal development and team morale; providing regular feedback to the Technical Operations Manager. 80% of the time you’ll be hands-on with responsibility for supporting the platform comprising of the LAN/WAN network infrastructure (Cisco, IPSEC, routing, switching); Network Security (Juniper, Palo Alto); the virtual estate (VMWare); storage infrastructure (Pure) and Windows and Linux OS.
You’ll look for ways to continually improve the availability and performance of the platform; proactively seek ways to automate manual processes; assist in developing the product roadmap; deliver technologies that are scalable, repeatable and are able to process high volume transactions, ensuring that security guidelines are adhered to.

Requirements:

*Experience of deploying, configuring and administrating Microsoft Operating Systems and products
*Experience of network design, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting
*Strong infrastructure troubleshooting of interoperating technologies; you’re passionate and want to investigate, understand and remediate abnormal systems behaviour
*Experience with at least one cloud platform, AWS preferred
*Collaborative team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ideally you will also have experience with Linux OS
