Service Provider is looking to add a Hedge Fund Accountant to their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a firm that manages over 20 funds across multiple strategies. The Hedge Fund Accountant will be exposed to private equity, commodity, credit, long/short equity plays and will play a major role in the hedge fund’s daily operations and reporting functions.

The Hedge Fund Accountant Duties will include:

* OTC Trade settlement and break resolutions
* Manage wire approval process
* Cash review and reconciliation
* Review portfolio aging reports and communicate and resolve issues
* New Issue Income allocation
* Prepare accrual schedules
* Prepare weekly and month end performance projections
* Perform security analysis and fund level review
* Assist with audit and tax preparation
* Review Form PF and OPERA filings

Job Requirements

* Degree in Accounting or related field
* 2+ years of experience in hedge fund accounting/audit
* Partnership tax knowledge – a plus
