One of the largest and most cutting edge hedge funds in the world has committed huge capital to building a new state of the art intraday systematic trading platform.

Working at the intersection of trading, data, technology and research they are looking for a skilled market data specialist to really differentiate themselves and work alongside their traders by storing, validating, analyzing and extracting data correctly.

The role:

  • Manage, store, capture and validate tick data extremely well.
  • Interpret the difference in data sets from provides and exchanges.
  • Data Analysis on real time outgoing trading and incoming market data.
  • An ability to interact with traders, researchers and technologists across the front office.
  • Excellent communication skills when discussing data trends, problems and analysis.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Skills / Experience Needed:

  • Experience using real time market data for data analysis.
  • Exposure to a systematic / electronic trading desk, whether on the buy or sell side.
  • Experience with market data databases i.e. one tick.
  • Able to convey and communicate tech ideas.
  • Analytical and intuitive mind-set.

Attributes they would like to see:

  • An advanced computational related degree i.e. MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
  • A determination to work with at the intersection of trading, data, research and technology.
