Rigorously review and monitor managers within the hedge fund program and client portfolios. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related area. Must have 5 Years of work experience as a hedge fund research analyst or operational due diligence analyst.
Details
Responsibilities include:
* Rigorously review and monitor managers within the hedge fund program and client portfolios
* Support the portfolio manager in sourcing and completing initial due diligence on any new managers
* Complete performance attribution and exposure analysis on our portfolios and underlying managers
* Regularly participate in calls and meetings with managers
* Complete investment research memos, reports and presentations
* Stay abreast of investment ideas and market trends, serving as a versatile and contributing member of the investment team
* Contribute to the exploration and development of emerging areas of investment (e.g., secondary private equity market, infrastructure, Asia, distressed debt, etc.).
* Support the investment and private client group on ad hoc projects related to hedge funds
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related area
* 5 Years of work experience as a hedge fund research analyst or operational due diligence analyst
* CFA or MBA is highly preferred
* Relevant experience analyzing hedge fund and traditional asset class managers using factor analysis a plus
* Strong Excel skills required, VBA a plus
* Experience with Bloomberg, MPI and PerTrac are a plus
* Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
* Intellectually curious, possess a comprehensive understanding of the hedge fund industry, capital markets and current market trends
* Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
* Willingness to travel
