Job Summary

Hedge Fund is seeking a Fund Accountant. 2+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting for investment companies or partnerships (tax experience is a plus).

Our client is an investment advisor headquartered in San Francisco. The firm invests in long/short equities, with a focus on the technology, consumer and healthcare sectors in the U.S. and major international markets. The firm’s focus is primarily on small- and mid-capitalization public companies that are misperceived or neglected by Wall Street, but may also include select large capitalization companies that meet the Principals’ criteria.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with daily fund accounting and operations for 2 investment funds
* Lead month-end accounting and financial reporting
* Prepare performance data including monthly and annual compounded rates of return and contribution analysis
* Assist with ad-hoc projects and requests

Key Requirements:

* 2+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting for investment companies or partnerships (tax experience is a plus)
* General understanding of alternative investments and capital markets
* Need to be able to “roll up sleeves” with an “in the weeds” kind of attitude
