What you’ll do:

  • Monitor trading systems and exchange/venues.
  • Research latent orders and liaise with trading exchanges and venues.
  • Reconcile trades and position breaks.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and respond to emergency situations impacting traders and/or exchanges.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Technical Services for production support.
  • Interact directly with traders to troubleshoot problems.
  • Participate in application release deployments.
  • Participate in change control procedures for rollout from development to production.
  • Cooperate with System Administrators to assist with forecasting system utilization.
  • Author process and procedure documentation.
  • Participate in and lead projects.
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to determine root cause of technical issues.
  • Provide second level support and mentor other trade desk analysts.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience. (MS preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including experience in a system’s based financial trading environment or other critical production service environment.
  • Experience supporting systems based equity trading.
  • Fluency in bash and python scripting languages, with significant automation experience.
  • Experience with building and managing large scale systems and networks monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Significant experience with systems analysis and troubleshooting for large-scale, complex systems.
  • A strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Ability to handle shared operational and periodic on-call duties.
