My client is a leading Hedge Fund with a global presence and they’re looking for a bright, driven and articulate individual with experience of High Yield and Distressed Credit trading to work alongside some of the Senior Portfolio Managers.
This is an extremely important and profitable area of the business, investing across the US and European corporate world. You will be joining in a highly visible role that will provide an excellent platform for a career within the organisation.
My client specialise in Convertible Bond Arbitrage and Relative Value Credit Trading strategies and so experience with these would give you a superior advantage.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of execution across products traded by European Credit, including corporate bonds, CDS (single name and index), convertible bonds, bank debt and equity.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with counterparties on both credit and convert desks.
- Assist in development of internal tools and systems to improve execution, screening and research capabilities.
- Confirm and verify the accuracy of trade related data.
- Assist in managing risk and perform detailed PnL reconciliation.
Skills/Experience required:
- Relevant experience in a trading environment.
- Distressed Credit, High Yield/HY and Public Equity trading experience.
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude and high level of academics in the form of a BSc or MSc.
- Knowledge of derivatives and bond pricing.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skills.
