The Asset Management Business Development (AMBD) team plays an integral role in helping to grow our Asset Management business, which leverages Two Sigma’s research, data, and technology-driven approach to provide investment solutions to leading institutional investors globally.

The AMBD group works across teams in modeling /portfolio management, engineering, and investor relations, as well as with colleagues in operational and regulatory-focused areas, to develop and implement our business strategy, cultivate business partnerships, generate and execute on new product ideas, coordinate with internal / external stakeholders to deliver on business expansion initiatives, and drive further operating efficiency for our business.

The AMBD Associate position requires both big-picture thinking and strong conceptual / analytical problem solving skills to successfully work across our business, investment, and technology groups to deliver on new strategic initiatives. A successful candidate will also develop and leverage broad and deep relationships across the entire company, as well as with our extensive network of business partners, to further position the Asset Management business for future growth.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related discipline from a top university.
  • 3-5 years of work experience. background in consulting, investment banking, or internal strategy / business development.
  • Excellent analytical / conceptual problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Demonstration of high intellectual capacity and curiosity.
  • Robust business analysis / project management skills with an understanding of financial markets and the investment lifecycle.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter and quick-study mentality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (incl. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project). experience with databases and SQL is a plus.
