Hedge Fund is looking for creative problem solvers to face off with PhD quants, traders and developers to solve their technology problems, in an app support function. This engineer will be facing off with these users on a daily basis and providing support for their real-time trading system. The role will cover responsibilities for a multitude of tasks ranging from; infrastructure, development and operations, to building custom tools, to creating reports and procedures. Thoroughness, prioritization, and a passion for technology will be crucial to succeeding in this position.

Requirements:

* Computer Science degree from a top University
* Experience in supporting UNIX/Linux environments
* Scripting ability (perl, python, shell)
* Experience with network monitoring and system configuration management (Nagios, Puppet, Chef)
* Some application development experience is a plus
* Debugging and analysis experience
* Strong Communication abilities
