SF Group are working with a Birmingham based private equity house to source a Chief Financial Officer for their service sector portfolio business. Located in the South West / Bristol area, the business in question in an SME and makes a significant double digit EBITDA percentage on it’s turnover.
As right hand to the CEO and Sales Director, you will proactively shape the strategy of this organisation such that it meets it’s medium term revenue and profit targets making it an attractive proposition for a trade buyer within three years. You will manage all funding / banking relationships and deliver insightful and sturdy financial reporting on a timely basis.
You will be a Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director who is well acquainted with the workings of private equity backed businesses and will have the style and communication skills to be successful in this environment. Ideally you will have worked in a service based business previously rather than something that is product or manufacturing led. You will also have led a successful exit delivering a positive return to shareholders.
Relative to the EBITDA of the business, the base package for this role is not huge. You will however be allocated an equity stake which, if things line up, will deliver a significant six or even seven figure capital gain hence we would ask potential candidates to bear this in mind when applying.
