$25B Private Equity Firm in Midtown seeks a Private Equity Fund Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the books and records of several funds in accordance with GAAP.
  • Serve as a key liaison between several departments in the firm, including Operations, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Investor Relations.
  • Assist group with year-end financial reporting
  • Assist group with getting through year end audit; review of quarterly and annual audited financial statements
  • Review of reconciliations, trading PnL and accruals.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of fund accounting, reporting, analysis and special projects, including developing a comprehensive understanding of products traded and processes utilized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience from a Hedge Fund, Private Equity firm or Public Accounting with HF & PE
  • Experience with fixed income securities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word) required.
