Associate Director of Internal Audit opportunity with one of the largest private equity firms in the world.

Job functions:

  • Support the delivery of the annual internal audit plan. Lead and execute internal audits and special projects (as needed).
  • Conduct insightful risk assessment and audit planning, constructive audit reporting and issue closure tracking.
  • Maintain constructive and balanced relationships with business and infrastructure management.
  • Participate in significant business initiatives, including system implementation projects.
  • Effectively manage workload to ensure that audits and special projects are completed within deadlines.
  • Participate in continuous education to maintain and enhance knowledge of the alternative asset management industry, internal audit best practices and regulatory changes / areas of focus.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services with significant experience in internal audit, risk management and/or other control function.
  • Experience in internal audit at a global alternative asset management firm function strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the risks associated with private equity and real estate investing, including the management of regulatory and fiduciary risks.
  • Demonstrates strategic/analytical thinking in identifying and analyzing risks, with the capacity to develop and drive positive change. Innovative mindset and ability to develop practical solutions, which are implemented and have positive impact.
  • Strongly self-motivated with the ability to challenge and be challenged while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, objectivity and integrity.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills; and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and effectively communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and presence capabilities.
  • Bachelors degree required.
