Founded in 1994, Lexington Partners is a private equity firm headquartered in New York City, with additional offices in Boston, Massachusetts, Menlo Park, California, and London, England.
Lexington specializes in the management of co-investment and secondary private equity funds, with more than $15 billion in capital under management. The investor base of Lexington Partners includes over 240 public and corporate pension funds, foundations, financial institutions, sovereign investment authorities, and other financial interests from over 25 countries.
Lexington’s team of over 40 investment professionals contribute backgrounds and experience form a variety of sources, such as investment banking, investment management, public accounting, private equity, and management consulting, to the diverse and innovative portfolio of investment opportunities provided by the firm.
Lexington primarily targets buyout and venture capital investments, with secondary investments in transactions of around $1 billion, and equity co-investments in the $10 million to $100 million range.
Some of Lexington’s co-investments include medical services vendor AmeriPath, Inc., General Nutrition Companies, the Dr. Pepper/7-Up bottling group, and leading steel fabricator PDM Bridge.
