Once again, this year’s report showed this is a relatively new industry with 67% of respondents reported having 5 years or less of hedge fund experience. Now, these finding do not equate to most people assuming junior roles. Plenty of professionals jump right into managing their own fund. In fact, we found nearly 60% of Portfolio Managers have 5 years or less experience in hedge funds.
